Rahma Ibrahim 's Story I become interested in coding since i was a kid and because its inspiring how you can solve issues just sited somewhere and having to be remotely just with the use of accessible network and a desktop with your knowledge. also after seeing my friends be able to solve issues of laptop and computers just by looking at it made me be more interested. apart of me also want to solve my community issues of women not allowed to code or follow their dreams.

🙋‍♀️ Rahma Ibrahim 's Motivation

My ultimate motivation to learn how to code is to be financially stable and help my community, as I come from a community where most of our women do not work, let alone have any inclination towards software engineering or coding. But honestly speaking that’s not the only motivation for coding, my entire being is in love with anything to do with software engineering, programming, coding, and debugging hence this application. Watching movies and seeing the programmers being amongst the Good guys u used to appeal to me big time, I would find myself smiling voluntarily and rooting for them to win against the malicious hackers. So I will be honored to be coding with She-Codes, furthering my limited knowledge that I have of it, and be on a platform catered to empowering women, for I read about your website briefly and I was happy with the success stories that I saw there. That’s another to have enough reason to apply. As the eldest girl in our family, I want to break stereotypical notions of of women and be a very good role model for the younger women that look forward and up to me. With these few words, I sign off.

🤹‍♀️ Rahma Ibrahim 's Hobbies

my hobbies is to code and problem solving. I face challenges on face to face knowing at the end I will be able to solve it and achieve the goal that I want without loosing hope or anything. I like watching movies and reading educative books which motivates me to fight for my dreams through any kind of hardship

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
