Alina's Story At first I was interested in web design, training in this area led me to coding. I decided to learn more about this and realized that the profession is ideal for me because of the analytical mind. Unfortunately, at school I considered this profession difficult and due to ignorance I lost the opportunity to develop in it even earlier.

🙋‍♀️ Alina's Motivation

It has always occurred to me that coding is exactly where I can prove myself. But I could not try before. And now seeing this opportunity, I thought I should take advantage of the offer. Before that I tried to study on my own, but I really need a support

🤹‍♀️ Alina's Hobbies

In my free time I try to relax while jogging in my favorite places or doing yoga. I try to find new things for myself all the time, for example, lately I've been dancing in the studio until the war broke out in my country, Ukraine. But time passes and we manage to adapt to the new reality

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
