Dorsa's Story I wasn’t really interested at first. But after starting university and taking some courses, I saw that it was an essential skill for my field of study and it would be very helpful for my future. So I started searching for the best coding language. I currently know a bit C because I had several university subjects like AVR so I worked on that.

🙋‍♀️ Dorsa's Motivation

I would really like to apply for some universities outside of Iran. So, for that, I need to improve my skills and do some projects. The best possible way is to learn to code. Coding wasn’t always my power skill because I never really had a good teacher or a good source. I think SheCodes is the best choice for me right now.

🤹‍♀️ Dorsa's Hobbies

I really like to read. I often read technology magazines about the recent news in my field of study which is electrical engineering. I want to apply for Masters degree so I’m looking for possible fields and positions. I also like to learn new things, new languages or new skills.

🎯

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
