Eugenia's Story I was interested in it since childhood, but as it was not that popular, my parents told me that's not what I should do in life. In 2018-2019 I entered the coding courses in Izmail (a small town in Odessa region), but I had to prepare for my final exams, so I stopped attending them. In 2022 I met a boy, who codes in C# and the passion I could feel from his stories about coding inspired me a lot.

🙋‍♀️ Eugenia's Motivation

First of all, in Ukraine currently we have problems with economic situation (maybe stagflation is a nice term to describe). Programming provides lots of opportunities, either to work in different countries or to earn enough money for living. I'm really passionate about creating games, and I hope SheCodes would give me a kick starting to learn and change my life for better.

🤹‍♀️ Eugenia's Hobbies

Usually I read, watch youtube, cook, study japanese and english.

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
