Eva's Story My friend who's a designer told me it's best if you understand coding to be a designer. also I love studying. I watched your free 1 hour lecture and it seemed very interesting also I still don't understand how some things can be done, and I like to understand things!

🙋‍♀️ Eva's Motivation

Before the full-scale invasion I applied for a Web design course, it started on 15th of March, I only did the first half, because I payed for it before the war, unfortunately I can't afford paying to continue. But I loved web design! I feel like I could benefit from understanding how a beautiful picture from figma turns into a real web site.

🤹‍♀️ Eva's Hobbies

I love reading books, mostly fiction, in Ukraine I had a wonderful library which I miss a lot! I also like learning, like I learnt a little bit Italian and a tiny bit of French. Yoga and walking - both good for my physical and mental health. During COVID I fell in love with plants, I had a collection at home and I loved taking care of them. Pottery, cinema, meditation, lectures on literature... there are too many things 🌝

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
