Frances Afia Boakyewaa's Story When a friend in the tech field encouraged me to take this field upon myself in a time I was deciding on which path I wanted to take after my 4-year computer engineering program in the KNUST. He explained the benefits to me which pulled a learning trigger in me. From there, I started watching programming videos from scratch and it has not been easy, sometimes it does get discouraging when I am not getting things right but my friend will be of aid when I asked ,hence, the interest was built.. The back and forth of the learning process is even what has motivated me enough because I always want to get this right

🙋‍♀️ Frances Afia Boakyewaa's Motivation

My motivation is to be different amongst many others in respect to profession, the zeal to improve upon my programming skills so as to make me programming inclined. Also, to help me get some money so I can be stable in life. Finally, looking at the atmosphere here, things look flexible enough than other programming videos I have watched.

🤹‍♀️ Frances Afia Boakyewaa's Hobbies

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
