Hanieh's Story A friend of mine who is a web design student in Norway encouraged me to try web development when she was my English partner. She introduced me a bunch of e-books and Said, you can do this, so I started to do some work including building a website for my boyfriend as his birthday gift, and I realized that I was proceeding. So I continued, it was a very challenging project for me as I was dealing with it for the first time, but at the same time, it was super interesting. Working on this project was perhaps the most enlightening experience for me, as it sparked my interest in coding and in technology overall. I realized coding is more about creativity, and making things come to life. It was an eye-opening experience

different points of the story and hear a wide variety of my friend’s vision of the story and characters. There are some activities that I am interested in doing in my free time, but among them all, reading books especially novels is the pick of the bunch. I have recently joined a book club and we usually read at least two fiction novels from different countries in a month. It is really interesting for me to discuss different points of the story and hear a wide variety of my friend’s vision of the story and characters.

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
