Kariman 's Story My sister and my cousin have taken the basics workshop and they spoke to me regarding the amazing content provided by the instructor. They described the instructors teaching methods to be amazing. In my head, coding seemed to hard but they assured me that the instructors teaching method is easy to follow along. Later, I researched and watched a few Youtube videos and I became even more interested in coding.

🙋‍♀️ Kariman 's Motivation

My main motivation to learn how to code with SheCodes is to upgrade my job skills. Especially due to the current pandemic, online learning has become in high demand. So, SheCodes will allow me to create my own teaching website to help children worldwide. Later on, I dream to build an app for the kids and parents to help with the teaching experience.

🤹‍♀️ Kariman 's Hobbies

I like to kayak due to the fact that it helps relieve stress and also provides great cardio. I also love animals as I have two dogs and one cat. Another passion of mine is teaching young kids.

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
