Margarita's Story About a year ago I changed my career path and decided to migrate from IP law to information security: that is how I entered IT. Throughout my daily tasks I faced with a lot of issues connected to the code and its architecture, so I've become more and more interested in coding. Secure code is the best code to use, so I wonder how to create secure code.

🙋‍♀️ Margarita's Motivation

First of all, I need to fill up all of my time with studying, just not to get crazy because of the war in my country. Coding has been something unreal, magical for me, I have always been thinking that I am too stupid to learn it. Now I wish to learn coding to improve my analytical thinking and broaden my career opportunities. They say coding is not for women and I totally disagree with such statements! So, I want to show everyone that women rule 💪🏻

🤹‍♀️ Margarita's Hobbies

Before the war started I loved playnig drums, I even have some videos with covers to my favorite songs. Now, unfortunately, I cannot play, miss my music lessons so much... also I love reading books, especially written by Remark: now his masterpieces seem to be so actual..

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
