Nazanin's Story The first reason is that I read papers discussing the role of coding in the future of medicine and I got interested to get advanced in this field so I can keep up with tge revolutions in this field. The second one is my financial struggle. I get around 25 dollars from my family each month which is not enough to spend a month with considering expensive medical books and resources so I had to make money. That’s why I started freelancing but still the amount of money I get from it is not much. I saw the jobs which needed coding with higher amount of money paid so I thought about starting to learn about coding.

🙋‍♀️ Nazanin's Motivation

I’m a medical student and I see how medical professionals are in need of learning to code to keep up with the technology needed in the field of medicine I want to learn it Also I started freelancing by designing posters and business cards recently but it doesn’t make that much money. Projects that need coding are way more expensive so if I know how to code I also can make a bit more money.

🤹‍♀️ Nazanin's Hobbies

Reading books Sometimes I do some wood work but it’s small things and not on an advanced level at all Listening to music

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
