Olga's Story Once I met a girl who was engaged in web design. She told me about her work and showed her portfolio. Then I became interested in how these designs are embodied in real sites, programs and applications. I am always interested in technical side of the issue. Even doing jewelry (my hobby), I'm interested in process of making separate details and putting them together, but not in the design of the finished product.

🙋‍♀️ Olga's Motivation

I am motivated for learning with She Codes because I really like the mission of SheCodes "to help bridge the gender gap in the tech programming industry". I believe that such gaps are a huge problem in modern society and are relics of the past. I am glad that there are projects like yours that help to reduce these gaps. Moreover, my motivation is to get a new and promising job that I would enjoy and that would help me work remotely from anywhere in the world and move to a safe place where there would be no war.

🤹‍♀️ Olga's Hobbies

Jewellery making, learning Chinese and making accessories from beads.

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
