Oluwatoyin's Story I first became interested in coding when I was in high school. I had always been a bit of a tech enthusiast and enjoyed tinkering with computers and devices, but it wasn't until I took a coding class that I truly fell in love with the subject. During the class, I was introduced to the basics of programming and was immediately struck by how logical and structured the process was. I loved the sense of problem-solving and the feeling of accomplishment I got when I was able to create something from scratch. Today, I am pursuing a program in coding and have a strong passion for all things tech. I am excited to continue learning and growing as a coder and can't wait to see where this journey takes me.

🙋‍♀️ Oluwatoyin's Motivation

Ever since I was a child, I have been fascinated by technology and how it has the power to shape the world around us. As I grew older, this fascination only deepened and I began to realize the vast potential that a career in technology holds. However, despite my passion for the field, I always felt like something was holding me back. That is, until I discovered SheCodes. Your program not only provides a comprehensive education in coding, but it also fosters a community of like-minded individuals who are all working towards a common goal. The support and guidance offered by the SheCodes team has been invaluable to me and has given me the confidence and motivation to pursue my dream of becoming a successful coder. I am excited to continue my journey with SheCodes and am confident that with the skills and knowledge I will gain, I will be able to make a meaningful contribution to the tech industry. Thank you for all that you do to empower and support aspiring coders like myself.

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
