Sara's Story A while ago i started learning the basics of ux design and i got hooked. I decided to learn how to code inorder to design and code my own products and not be dependent on other coworkers. So i dived into the YouTube world, but that was no help. I also feel like that there's always a challenge waiting for me in the coding world ready to be overcome by a natural problem solver like me.

🙋‍♀️ Sara's Motivation

I've been searching for the best online workshops and i just came across this foundation. After reading the inspiring stories from women all around the world, i've decided that shecodes is definitely worth putting my fate on. Also i've had experience with learning through YouTube videos and it's been quite fruitless. I think the best way is through a project based workshop and at the end the certificate would be a bonus to boost a portfolio and resume.

🤹‍♀️ Sara's Hobbies

I'm all for design and creating stuff. As an architect, i've been obsessed with design my whole life. From creating spaces to now ux projects in my free time.

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
