Taisia's Story I’ve been working in marketing before, but this is not a job that I am really passionate about. It’s like I am good at lots of things like PR, logistics, trade marketing etc, but I want to be a Pro in a specific field. So I started searching for the field that I will enjoy and where I can use all my potential - like good English, attention to details, problem solving skills. So I started watching videos and reading theory about different IT fields.

🙋‍♀️ Taisia's Motivation

I am highly motivated to learn coding because I really believe that I can become an excellent developer - I am persistent, attentive to details and I love problem solving and permanent learning. I adore puzzles since I was a child. I want to create something that can make life easier or bring more fun into it. Besides, this knowledges will give me an opportunity to earn money that can help to rebuild my country after war.

🤹‍♀️ Taisia's Hobbies

I liked traveling (before war), doing yoga, reading, long walks with my dog and playing PS.

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
