Ziwolire's Story My brother introduced me to coding. He would teach himself online using the free access that was available at the time and he speak so highly of coders. I grew an interest in coding but I didn't know where to start from because of my auditing background. Until I saw SheCodes free program and it dawned on me that my chance to learn was finally here.

🙋‍♀️ Ziwolire's Motivation

My motivation to learn coding with SheCodes comes from the quote by Steve Jobs said “I think everybody in this country should learn how to program a computer, because it teaches you how to think. I view computer science as a liberal art.” With this said, I knew I can learn hot to code. And if I learnt how to code, it will give me technical knowledge and it will also give me a new way to approach my work. Coding will improve my job skills and it will take my career to new heights.

🤹‍♀️ Ziwolire's Hobbies

I like reading. One of my go to books is the monk who sold his ferrari by Robin Sharma. I like to travel and learn new things.

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
