asal's Story As far as I can remember before university I barely knew about coding and how things are done through it. I can vividly recall that I became interested in coding when I was forced to run code for a simple mechanism (crank slider)as a project.

🙋‍♀️ asal's Motivation

These days learning how to code is something vital and necessary in different educational fields. For instance, as an engineer student coding has always made things described in books more comprehensible for me. So all in all my motivation is my field of study and its connection to the digital world.

🤹‍♀️ asal's Hobbies

The first and most important thing that comes to my mind is watching movies and series. In addition. I'm keen on reading books and sharing my ideas about them with bookworms. Furthermore, designing and modeling solid objects have become one of my hobbies these days

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
