Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.
SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.

You’ll also get to build your own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!
I’m excited to present this project we've been thinking about since starting SheCodes.
The aim is to offer SheCodes workshops at no cost to women living in select developing countries who are facing serious financial and educational challenges, along with women who are refugees.
When I started SheCodes, it was a non-profit. During our past onsite workshops, I always mentioned that my ultimate goal for SheCodes was to open a school providing free education. I’m happy to turn this initial idea into a reality.
This is the beginning of something that will hopefully have an impact on many women.
The Foundation will be financed entirely by SheCodes Workshops, 10% of profits will be used to offer support to more women around the world. If you want to contribute, feel free to purchase SheCodes Workshops for yourself, friends, or family members.
SheCodes will remain paid, yet affordable in developed countries so we can keep offering quality training while expanding globally.
Thanks so much for being part of SheCodes. Together, we’re making an impact.
What Alumni think of SheCodes
5/5 - Highly recommended
I had such an amazing time with Matt while learning the different coding concepts, some that looked hard to grasp initially became much better to understand with practice, thanks to the challenges. I can't wait to dive in and continue with the other classes. I'm grateful for the opportunity. Many Thanks to SheCodes and the SheCodes Foundation.
I’ve looked for some coding courses to learn new profession and suddenly found SheCodes foundation. And I’m happy I found it, because I can’t imagine any other course to be so simple, interesting and useful at the same time. Before attending SheCodes Basics I’ve been thinking that I’m not smart enough to learn how to code. But the way Matt Delac explained everything and the speed of me solving challenges made me more self-confident. I really appreciate this experience.
SheCodes Foundation is simply the best platform for beginners to build knowledge and skills on coding from the scratch. The programs and schedules are very easy and flexible to work with. The instructor (Mr. Matt Delac) is a seasoned teacher. He doesn't just tell you what to do but also why you have to do it some certain way. It is indeed a life changing opportunity to begin my coding journey here with SheCodes. Right now I feel like a code guru just completing the basic class 😂😂. I can't wait to graduate to SheCodes Pro to further deepen my coding knowledge. It has been fun coding with SheCodes foundation.
