Boamogeleng's Story I enrolled for a Statistics class in college, unknot knowing that testing hypothesis, interpreting and presenting empirical data would later form a greater part of who I am. During university days it had developed from just a passion to more refined skills, from cracking code in R or Stata to preparing clear, beautiful visuals. I have then decided to be intentional about coding and improving my skills at it because it's close to my heart, and that's how I define myself, creating meaning out of data.

🙋‍♀️ Boamogeleng's Motivation

Ultimately, my career goal is to become a public policy analyst and data scientist who addresses policies in key sectors in low-and-middle-income countries (LMICs) using community-centric and evidence based approaches. I hope to be in the forefront of scrutinizing data and drawing meaningful conclusions from it that can help make the world a better place for every inhabitant.

🤹‍♀️ Boamogeleng's Hobbies

I enjoy taking kids out for their sport days, sitting and connecting with other parents or engaging in fun activities at that level.

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
