cynthia's Story i was hanging out with a boy group who i had just became friends with, one of them always had his laptop typing things that i had never seen , that is how my spark of interest started, i inquired from him , asking questions and what it entails. i went and looked it up on youtube that week while i was at home and to be honest it looked so hard , until months later when i landed on a lady who was talking about women in tech . she inspired me so much. her story woke my curiosity and i just wanted to be like her . I Itold myself if she did it, then i can as well do it and better.

🙋‍♀️ cynthia's Motivation

i was aware of what coding is but not deeply enough to explain or rather understand. my first interaction with coding , i found it hard ,then one day i was scrolling through social media and i came across this beautiful woman who changed my perspective on coding . i had interest , she talked about her experience and how she learnt through she codes and how it is a good opportunity for women aspiring to be in tech , she made it easy and seamless hence my motivation,

🤹‍♀️ cynthia's Hobbies

I am the first sister after my two big brothers , grew up playing video games with them .i still enjoy doing that . other times i stay love reading and also watching movies and documentaries .

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
