Edna's Story When a friend(a coder) suggested that my attention to detail and patience would make me effective in the field, my interest in coding grew. I was also encouraged to join the growing number of women in tech by him.

🙋‍♀️ Edna's Motivation

As a volunteer, I taught STEM to girls in underserved communities. I and my colleagues are good at teaching science, mathematics, and engineering, but we do not have anyone to teach technology. It was apparent there were not many females in tech when we were looking for female teachers. My goal is to be able to go back and empower these girls with the knowledge I gain by learning how to code.

🤹‍♀️ Edna's Hobbies

I enjoy reading a good book. For fun, I like sharing stories with my friends as we cook mandazis. ( a Kenyan snack we have with tea).
