Fatemeh's Story Well, when i was at 9th grade we had to learn Coding(with awful methods of teaching sadly) as a part of our annual Curriculum at that time i thought coding was completely useless and pointless but as i grew up and became wiser i paid attention to people’s types of living then it got me thinking how drastically it had been changed by using variety of applications. Apps that teach you a new language, help you to control your weight, have a control on your Menstruation Cycle , help you to relax, help you to communicate with people all around the world, help you to exercise and many other things that i cant even think of! that was the time i felt the necessity of coding and became interested in it.

🙋‍♀️ Fatemeh's Motivation

Well, I’m a medical student at Azad Tehran Medical-University and based on what i saw during these 3 years of studying medicine, an app that takes control of health measurements for people daily and accurately is so essential , it can also teach them how to self examine for instance a step by step Guide to rectal examination (DARE) it is also developed by a group of experienced Doctors therefore it is pretty reliable for everyone and that is what people nowadays are really in need of Specially due to Corona Pandemic, people are afraid of being infected with Covid-19 Virus while visiting a doctor for an appointment . but the question is why? You see there are certain diseases like Cancer (especially Colorectal and Breast cancer) and Chronic diseases wich can be cured completely or semi -completely by being diagnosed at early stages. The app that i want to develop by learning coding will help people to live a happier life and for if they get sick, by being diagnosed at early stages they will be cured easily and painlessly and not to forget, they’ll be treated so cheap! because early stages of diseases do not require harsh and life threatening remedies.

🤹‍♀️ Fatemeh's Hobbies

When it comes to hobbies and having fun there isn’t much that you can do in my country Specially when you are not wealthy and more important when you are a woman. but i really try hard to keep myself occupied with stuff that cheer me up like reading books about Quantum Physics and relativity theory, listening to music and sometimes watching comedy series and old Classic movies.

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
