Gugulethu's Story My first exposure to technology was in primary school when we were being taught how to use a computer. I loved and enjoyed that period and always looked forward to it. From then I became curious to know how computers work and technology in general. People can turn their thoughts into something practical by learning to code and this is why I am also interested.

🙋‍♀️ Gugulethu's Motivation

Firstly it is the feedback and reviews I have seen from the women who have learned coding with SheCodes. I am one individual who loves challenges so knowing how to code would be a valuable ability. I can improve my creativity, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills by learning to code with SheCodes. I would also love to advance my career and do what I love and am interested in.

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
