Hind 's Story I first became interested in coding in 2018, I just got done with high school and got my French baccalauréat, then I began looking for studies in the field of technology. Initially, I liked how it required problem-solving skills to get to a result. Furthermore, I loved the idea of being able to use my creativity to create something unique and powerful. At first, I began with HTML, and I decided to create a website about myself and my family. After that, I realized that I wanted to pursue web development and design as a profession, but I was unable to find a nearby university to commit to it and make it my career.

🙋‍♀️ Hind 's Motivation

Coding is a valuable skill that can open up many opportunities, not only in terms of career prospects, but also in terms of making an impact on the economy of my country. Learning how to code can be a great way to jumpstart my journey towards reaching my career aspirations and become part of a generation that is more connected and aware of the power of coding. It's the language of the future, and its potential for development in Libya is immense. From reconstructing the country to creating innovative technological solutions, it can be used to make a great difference in Libya. Finally, the idea of working from anywhere remotely is what I am looking for, opportunities can come from everywhere around the world and that is exciting.

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
