Husna's Story I first became interested in coding when I was quite young. I had always been fascinated by technology and computers, and I remember being amazed by the idea that you could create something out of nothing just by typing lines of code. My interest in coding grew even more when I started attending a computer science institute for 2 years. The classes and projects I worked on during that time really sparked my curiosity and passion for coding. I found myself constantly wanting to learn more and challenge myself with new coding languages and techniques. The feeling of satisfaction that came from solving a complex problem or creating a functioning program was incredibly rewarding. Coding became not just a hobby, but a skill that I wanted to develop further. Overall, my early exposure to coding through the computer science institute played a significant role in igniting my interest in this field. It opened up a whole new world of possibilities for me. When I got to the university(Kabul Polytechnic University), after getting to know the university environment and experienced professors, I found myself and my future with computers and computer languages. and actually that was the starting point of my coding journey. and now I am grateful for the SheCodes foundation it provided me with to pursue a career in coding.

Overall, my goal is to become a skilled coder who can make a positive impact through innovative solutions and contribute towards building a more inclusive and diverse tech community.

🤹‍♀️ Husna's Hobbies

In my free time, I enjoy reading psychology books and novels to learn about human behavior and emotions. These stories help me understand people better and make me curious about the world. I also like creating UI designs for websites and apps using modern tools like Bootstrap, React JS, and Flutter. I combine creativity with functionality to make digital experiences that are exciting and easy to use. By combining my interest in psychology with my skills in technology, I find a good balance between exploring human nature through books and shaping the future of digital design. This mix of psychology and technology inspires me to keep learning and expressing myself in new and exciting ways.

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
