Jacintha's Story My nieces and nephew have done a coding course and are doing great now. I long to have same skill too.l have seen coding adverts on Facebook countless times l know that l need the skill but it's not affordable by me for now. Coding will go a long way to enhance my Carreer skills and help me to fly instead of crawling as it is now.

🙋‍♀️ Jacintha's Motivation

I will do better in my career with coding. Besides, teachers should have some coding skills. I can make it a part of my training courses if I'm able to learn it well, l should offer free introductory lessons to other women and children with the sole aim of strengthening their empowerment skills, self reliance and actualization. I look forward to also introducing it to Revamp Africa Team which happens to be a voluntary organization that goes to teach/mentor students in secondary Schools.

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
