Karabelo's Story My interest in coding sparked from a fascination with how technology shapes our daily lives and the realization that behind every digital interaction, there's a code making it happen. This curiosity led me to explore the basics of coding through online tutorials and articles. The more I learned, the more I was intrigued by the problem-solving aspect of coding and the creativity it allows in developing solutions. This initial exploration transformed into a passion as I began to see coding not only as a skill but as a powerful tool for innovation and change.
My motivation for learning how to code with SheCodes stems from a strong desire to acquire technical skills that will empower me to bring my ideas to life, solve real-world problems, and contribute to technology-driven solutions. SheCodes offers an accessible and supportive environment tailored for women, which I believe is crucial for nurturing my skills in technology, a field traditionally dominated by men. The opportunity to learn from experienced instructors and connect with a community of like-minded women is particularly appealing and aligns with my goals of not only advancing my career but also advocating for greater gender diversity in the tech industry.
I enjoy a variety of hobbies that keep me both creatively engaged and physically active. For creativity and relaxation, I love painting and writing, which allow me to express myself and explore ideas in unique ways. I'm also a big fan of reading, particularly fiction and technology-related materials, as they expand my imagination and knowledge. For physical activity, I enjoy hiking and cycling, both of which give me the chance to explore nature and maintain fitness. Additionally, I have a keen interest in coding projects and tinkering with tech gadgets for fun, as it allows me to apply my skills in practical, sometimes challenging ways, and stay connected with the evolving tech world.
