Khemno 's Story I had an application idea and googled “how to create an app from scratch “ that’s where I learnt that there’s something called coding, this was in 2020 during lockdown.I didn’t research any further as I thought that it would be out of my reach to study.

🙋‍♀️ Khemno 's Motivation

In my community and country the tech industry is known for being a man’s territory and not a lot of women even begin to think that they can be in the industry and thrive. I want to be one of the first black women who had the courage and dived into the tech industry and have other women follow in my footsteps.

🤹‍♀️ Khemno 's Hobbies

I love attending “sip & paint” events, playing board games, hiking and discovering new music.

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
