Khristal's Story For 13 years I had to teach myself everything about running my business. Part of that included pulling together a website with zero knowledge. It turned out to be my favourite part. Even after figuring most of that out, I realized there’s so much more I wanted to create but I didn’t know how. I’d really like to learn how.

🙋‍♀️ Khristal's Motivation

After what the world just went through, I want to be more versatile future proof - for myself (as a career change) and to be able to continue to pioneer for my family. I’ve always been fascinated by tech and how it works even attempting A+ in my early 20s. I didn’t get to go down that path then but it’s never too late - right?

🤹‍♀️ Khristal's Hobbies

Watching and rewatching movies, singing at the top of my voice, casual gaming and - most recently - attempting to learn how to play Dungeons and Dragons. Honestly, it’s really anything that catches my interest at any time.

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
