Khyaati's Story School introduced me to Java when I was in 9th grade, and I've been invested in coding ever since! In 11th grade, my friends and I were assigned to make a simple game based on our core python skills, and I spent my blood and sweat coding that game, but once I was finished, the final outlook of the game made me realize the power of coding.

🙋‍♀️ Khyaati's Motivation

When I heard about SheCodes from my friends on LinkedIn, I was immediately drawn to engage with a foundation that supports women in stem and coding. My motivation for coding is driven by a desire for personal and professional development, as well as how easily coding helps us bring ideas in our minds to life, and automate real life tasks.

🤹‍♀️ Khyaati's Hobbies

I love reading books and going on walks in nature. I like playing badminton and swimming every now and then! I like journaling and spend my free time learning from udemy courses to skill up.

🎯

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
