Lerato's Story I came across a youtube video one day that was very informative. I learned that apps were not actually generated by computers but were built or coded from scratch and could be sold to companies such as apple to sell on the app store. I was blown away by this and wanted to know how humans did this and so I began to research more.

🙋‍♀️ Lerato's Motivation

I aspire to be a software developer and do not currently have funds to enrol at a formal institution to learn how to code. The world is ever evolving and so is technology which is why I have decided to keep up with the times so that I do not struggle as much to find employment in future. Perhaps I could even be a future employer whilst also contributing towards resolving most of the issues facing the world today most of which also have to do with cybercrimes.

🤹‍♀️ Lerato's Hobbies

Watch scammer payback videos on YT. Watching tech reviews on latest gadgets such as cameras and mobile devices. I also now like to inspect codes of websites to see ow an interesting feature was coded or styled.

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
