Manasa's Story Instead, learn the basics of the coding language you're interested in first. That way you know what each command does and where it might be useful.[8] For example, if you want to use your coding skills to create animations, you should learn the basics of JavaScript first. Learn why you start a command with "g." and in what order your commands should be listed. Once you know these basics, using them to code more and more complicated projects can be a little easier.

🙋‍♀️ Manasa's Motivation

Coding is a fascinating way to bring your ideas to life; it gives you the ability to be able to create anything you can imagine. If you can code, you can create websites, games, apps and much more. Not only that, but coding is also a great way to learn logical thinking and problem-solving. Another reason why learning to code is important is because it can help you get a job. In today’s world, many jobs require at least some basic coding skills. Even if you’re not looking for a job in the tech industry, being able to code can give you an extra edge in the job market.

🤹‍♀️ Manasa's Hobbies

Hobbies can be as simple as reading, exercising, taking walks to explore new places, or cooking new foods. If your hobby is more of an interest, that’s fine, too. Maybe you’re fascinated by fashion and read and watch everything you can about current trends, or maybe you’re a history buff who loves books about little-known historical events and spends part of every vacation at a museum.

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
