🙋‍♀️ Marea's Motivation

The impact of coding is everywhere infact coding is the reason when you are driving down the road that you don't hit the random pedestrians when you click on your brakes, its a single line of code that connects those brakes to the actual wheels.

🤹‍♀️ Marea's Hobbies

I only have one hobby and yet it consumes all my free time, i enjoy reading and have always been a voracious reader. Although i prefer reading fiction, i make a deliberate effort to read at least one non fiction book i a couple of months. The last book i read was secrets of the millionaire mind by T. Harv Eker. What i truly treasure about my hobby is its power to transport me to different locations whilst im still on my couch

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
