Maria 's Story My initial interest in coding was sparked by the influence of my fiancé, who is a computer scientist. I've always been fascinated by his work, even though I didn't initially grasp all the technical details. However, as I spent more time with him and he explained basic programming concepts to me, I began to understand the power and creativity involved in coding. Watching how he could create applications and solve problems through code intrigued me immensely. Moreover, I realized that programming is an incredibly versatile skill with applications across a wide range of fields. This experience inspired me to explore programming more deeply and seek opportunities to learn and develop my own skills in this exciting field.
My motivation for enrolling in SheCodes stems from my strong desire to acquire a robust technical skill set and to become an integral part of the women in programming community. As a woman who thrives on constant self-reinvention and seeks to create fresh opportunities in my life, I firmly believe that learning coding is imperative in today's digital landscape. I am firmly convinced that coding is an adaptable and invaluable skill that will empower me to explore exciting career avenues within the tech industry. I am resolute in seizing this opportunity to cultivate my skills in a supportive learning environment that champions women. My aim is to not only demonstrate my unwavering commitment and determination to advance in this field but also to serve as an inspiration for other women looking to embark on this thrilling journey.
Some of my hobbies include watching anime and collecting anime figures and dolls. In addition to that, I'm currently in my final year of studying Comprehensive Aesthetics at AIEP, which I'm very passionate about. I find great joy in exploring the world of aesthetics and learning how to enhance people's beauty and well-being. These pursuits not only help me relax and unwind but also allow me to express my creativity and appreciation for art and culture. They provide a nice balance to my technical interests, such as coding, and allow me to enjoy a diverse range of activities in my free time.
