MARTHA's Story My brother is a software engineer who exposed me to bits of code and projects that he successfully handled so I gained an interest to follow his path into creating my own websites. Besides my passions are technology and sciences so I am basically building onto my strengths. My curiosity to question the science behind what we see at the forefront lead me to desire to seek knowledge and learn.
With the high levels of unemployment in Uganda, it is quite difficult to find a job despite acquiring qualifications therefore I would like to use my coding skills as a fallback position and a side hustle for a job as well as tutoring colleagues with the same set of skills. Software engineering is among the top jobs that will not run out of trend in the next 10 to 15 years with the ever-growing industrial revolution. Therefore coding being a necessity of skill. I would like to have these amazing skills as a complement to my C.V. In addition I love the website designed by the C.E.O which gives me confidence in the quality of work that I am studying.
In my free time, I like to play ratchet games with friends, engage in productive talks concerning current world issues such as mental health in the pandemic, financial literacy et cetera, baking for commercial consumption, reading newspapers because these often come with good innovation ideas and watching science-related movies.
