Mineh's Story I have started my self studying journey of coding when I was 18 years old. My love for coding began after I graduated school and got enrolled in the American university of Afghanistan(AUAF) online program. As I started my courses in the Academy program at AUAF, I also started searching for online resources to learn coding through. I found a very helpful website called freecodecamp and learnt so much from it. Later on, I signed up for a free online course offered by Roshan Afghan Online University which was also an introduction to HTML and CSS. I finished that course and obtained a certificate as well. Subsequently, I wanted to start learning JavaScript. However, I knew that it could be more challenging than learning HTML and CSS so I was looking for courses on this topic when I stumbled upon your program.

🙋‍♀️ Mineh's Motivation

Because of my deep interest in technology, I want to choose a major related to this field in university and to build my career in the same area. However, I want to develop a deeper understanding of this field before I enter it professionally. This is why I am applying for this program. This opportunity will be perfect for me as it is an online program and very easily accessible to me. Moreover, even if I end up selecting a different major, I could still make use of my coding knowledge to engage in side hustles related to this field. I have already learnt HTML and CSS by myself, but I know that having an instructor explaining these topics to me will be so much more effective. I aim to master the field of coding with this 6 month period and get a satisfactory result.

🤹‍♀️ Mineh's Hobbies

I am very interested in art. I like drawing, listening to music, crafting and designing. Besides coding, I am a graphic design enthusiast as well. One more thing I am very interested in is exercising. It is an activity that never fails to freshen me up. I also enjoy reading.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
