Mufunwa's Story I first became interested in coding when I realized the vast opportunities it offers in remote work. As someone who values flexibility and ability to work from anywhere, coding seemed like the perfect avenue to explore. Additionally, learning how to code opens up numerous opportunities ,especially in fields like web development, where I aspire to pursue a career. I was also inspired by the creativity and success stories of Tiktok creators who shared their coding journey.

🙋‍♀️ Mufunwa's Motivation

My motivation for learning how to code with Shecodes stems from several key factors. Firstly, the recognition Shecodes holds with numerous companies gives me confidence in the quality of education I will receive. The Shecodes website boasts testimonials and a remarkable 4.97 star rating, indicating a strong record of success. I'm particularly inspired by the number of women who have not only completed the course but also secured jobs afterward. This shows me that there is room for career advancement after completing the course. Lastly, as a recent graduate in a country with a high unemployment rate, I hope to enhance my coding skills to become a more marketable and competitive candidate in the job market. I believe the skills I acquire through Shecodes will not only increase the likelihood of employers recognizing and valuing my abilities.

🤹‍♀️ Mufunwa's Hobbies

In my free time, I enjoy exploring new restaurants and cuisines. Trying new foods and dining experiences isn't just a hobby for me but a way to discover different cultures and flavors. When I am not out, I find relaxation and creative expression in painting .Even though I might not be the greatest painter, it is a wonderful way for me to unwind. Additionally, I am actively involved in my church's arts department. As part of the leadership, we've recently opened an arts program aimed at inspiring and nurturing creativity among the youth church.

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
