Naa Ayele's Story I watched a documentary on website programming and I became fascinating on how codes could create a lot of new and valuable things. It has always been my dream to be someone involved in a stem related career path I look up to women such as Hedy Lamar, Mary spio and Felicity smoak who have taught me that being a woman in a third world country doesn't limit your dreams and aspirations they have taught me to dare to dream and to actualise my goals even when people called me far fetched. To me coding will soon be the language for everybody who wants to pursue a career in stem. SheCodes presents an opportunity for me to pursue my dreams and to become the person I visualize myself as in the near future

🎯

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
