Ncanyana's Story My interest in coding started with doing surveys and reviewing apps for other developers. From there I realised that I like challenges and solving problems. With more exposure that I got from the apps, I wanted to no more about technology and how websites are made and maintained.

🙋‍♀️ Ncanyana's Motivation

I have a huge interest in joining the Shecode bootcamp. My previous experience with working in a fast-paced environment that required patience, dedication and the eager to learn is what peaked my interest into coding. I am intrigued by challenges that are goal oriented. I am fascinated by the forever evolving technology. I am excited to take on this journey of learning more about coding and continuously being part of impacting the world positively through coding. I have also started with learning through other sites to get a head start. Looking forward to joining the team and grow with it

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
