Nnanana 's Story I first became interested in coding when I started learning skills through FreeCodeCamp online. As I delved into coding tutorials and projects, I discovered the vast potential of what I could accomplish with these newfound skills. It fascinated me to see how lines of code could translate into dynamic websites, interactive applications, and solutions to real-world problems. Coming from a background in accounting, coding offered me a fresh perspective and an avenue for creativity and innovation. The more I learned, the more excited I became about the possibilities that coding presented. It was empowering to realize that I could develop practical skills that could have a tangible impact on the world around me. From that moment on, my interest in coding only grew stronger, fueling my determination to dive deeper into the world of technology and pursue opportunities to further develop my coding abilities.

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
