Nomsa's Story I first became interested in coding when I took a computer science class in high school.I loved learning about how computers work and how to create programs.From there,I continued to explore my interest in coding by taking additional classes.Now,it's something I really enjoy and am passionate about.

I'm motivated to learn how to code with She Codes because I love the challenge of solving problems and creating new things.I also want to be able to use my coding skills to make a positive impact on the world. She Codes provides a great opportunity to learn from others and to provide a better income. I'm excited to see what I can achieve through this program.

I love to play board games and card games with friends.I also enjoy reading novels, especially science fiction and fantasy books.I also like doing gardening.When I'm not busy with those things,I love to go for long walks in nature. Being out in the fresh air and seeing the trees and flowers really helps me feel peaceful and recharged.

Nomsa's coding training

Nomsa has gained access to SheCodes Plus for at no cost. It’s a 4 month coding training that’ll take her from a beginner to a professional.

She'll learn popular technologies, from HTML, CSS, JavaScript and development tools. She'll also get to build her own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!

2. Basics Add-on (1 week)
3. Plus Coding Workshop (8 weeks)
4. Plus Add-on (2 weeks)
She’ll gain access to each portion after finishing the preceding portion. She’ll build up her coding knowledge gradually along the way. 🙌

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.
