Peace's Story Through watching videos on Instagram and YouTube (that give insights on tech), but mostly friends! I have a few friends in tech. I am always intrigued whenever I see them code or work on projects. They always advise me on how a career in tech would be a great fit for me. And also, I am the go-to-person whenever my brothers/sisters have any tech related issue! I have so much interest in this field and I believe it is for me!

🙋‍♀️ Peace's Motivation

I want a better life for I and my family, with good financial stability. Life has not always been easy for us (especially financially), I believe a career in tech will help get me better opportunities for financial freedom. Also, I have always wanted to switch to a career in tech in order to actually have a job that I would love to do and now I have finally summoned the courage to do so.

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
