Quynh Anh's Story
Knowing about code is when I was searching for my future career . While surfing on the Career pages, I came across a job called “Computer Science”, being curious about that cool name I tried to dig deeper in what that was, the more I searched the more CODE word appeared. “What is that word?”, I asked. Typing code on the google search bar, trillions of results showed up. A long complex image of a page of code was fascinating me so I signed up for some free class learning how to code. The more I learn the more I love how it work and being interested in coding. But when I asked a Computer science teacher in my high school about code, he surprisingly said: “ What?! You learn how to code?”, I said Yes I did. He was thinking a bit and said:” You know, this is not for girls, you can not catch up like boys do. I think you should find another subject to learn.”. A fire was ignited in my heart, the way how people look down on women are unacceptable. I determined that I would follow this till the end no matter what. I’ll fight for it. The love for coding and the fire of feminism will lead me to the right place.
