Sadaf's Story I became interested in coding through a combination of factors and influences. One of the key factors that sparked my interest in coding was my curiosity about technology and how things work. As a child, I was always fascinated by computers, video games, and the internet, which naturally led me to explore coding as a way to understand and create technology. Additionally, I was inspired by the potential of coding to solve problems and make a positive impact on the world. Learning about how coding is used in various industries, such as healthcare, education, and environmental sustainability, motivated me to explore coding as a tool for innovation and change. I was also influenced by role models in the tech industry, such as famous programmers, entrepreneurs, and innovators, who demonstrated the power of coding to transform ideas into reality. Their success stories and contributions to the tech world inspired me to pursue coding as a skill and a career path. Moreover, the supportive community of coders, mentors, and resources available online and in-person played a significant role in nurturing my interest in coding. Engaging with like-minded individuals, participating in coding workshops and hackathons, and seeking guidance from experienced developers helped me develop my skills and passion for coding.

🙋‍♀️ Sadaf's Motivation

I find motivation in coding from the sense of creativity and problem-solving that it offers. Coding allows me to bring my ideas to life, create something from scratch, and solve real-world problems using technology. The satisfaction of seeing a project come together, overcoming challenges along the way, and continuously learning new skills keeps me motivated to code. Additionally, the tech industry is constantly evolving, offering endless opportunities for growth and innovation. Knowing that coding skills are in high demand and can open up doors to exciting career prospects also serves as a motivation for me to keep learning and improving my coding skills. Moreover, being part of a supportive community of fellow coders, mentors, and resources such as online tutorials, forums, and coding bootcamps also helps me stay motivated and inspired in my coding journey. Sharing knowledge, collaborating with others, and celebrating achievements together can be incredibly motivating and rewarding. Ultimately, finding your own sources of motivation in coding, setting goals, staying curious, and embracing challenges can help you stay inspired and engaged in your coding endeavors.

🤹‍♀️ Sadaf's Hobbies

One of my favorite hobbies is reading. I find great joy and relaxation in immersing myself in the pages of a good book. Reading allows me to escape into different worlds, explore diverse perspectives, and expand my knowledge on a wide range of topics. Whether it's fiction, non-fiction, or poetry, I enjoy the journey of discovery that each book offers. Reading not only entertains me but also stimulates my imagination and enhances my critical thinking skills. It's a hobby that I cherish and one that continues to enrich my life in countless ways.

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
