Sinhyu's Story I hadn't been learning code until I moved to my new school. At first, everything didn't go well because I had no experience in coding - never learned it before. I was struggling with Scratch and Code.org. But after 2-3 weeks, I started to settle down well. I felt proud because I got good grades in the first month. So I began to pay more attention and did a lot of coding. Also, my favorite course is Web development - HTML and CSS.

🙋‍♀️ Sinhyu's Motivation

I think that learning how to code is very important. It gives many job-opportunities that I can help my family back. Also it improves my logical thinking since in coding I will have to find and solve the problems. In my opinion, learning how to code with SheCodes will help me a lot in developing coding skills to achieve my goals. I believe I can code like a professional after learning how to code with SheCodes.

🤹‍♀️ Sinhyu's Hobbies

I like studying and trying new things. Especially, I teach my friends at school in science and math during break time. Also at school, I sometimes play badminton even though I am not very good at it. I enjoy listening to music and would like to learn how to play piano and guitar. I love reading novels as well.

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
