Su Yi's Story I can become interested in coding by viewing it as a creative outlet, an opportunity to explore my current interests further, or a means of achieving a particular objective. I can spark my interest in coding by jumping in and trying out some coding in a coding group or on my own using programmes or websites.

🙋‍♀️ Su Yi's Motivation

SheCodes is a coding workshop series that teaches coding skills to individuals of all backgrounds, especially women. It offers career opportunities, creativity, empowerment, flexibility, and community support. Coding skills are in high demand in various industries, and they encourage problem-solving and creativity. Learning to code can provide a sense of accomplishment, empowering individuals who are underrepresented in the tech industry. Additionally, coding offers flexibility and remote work options. Overall, SheCodes is a rewarding experience for aspiring tech professionals.

🤹‍♀️ Su Yi's Hobbies

Reading books and working out are two of my interests. I also enjoy cooking in addition to this. I learned about the company's in-house gym while doing research on it. It's a terrific idea to have a gym at work so that staff members can socialise more outside of their assigned responsibilities.I like to reading, dancing and writing code for fun.

🎯

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
