Thato's Story My little siblings do coding and robotics as it is something that is being offered in the new school’s curriculum, I think my first coding interest in coding started from there, and since then it’s something I would like to do.

🙋‍♀️ Thato's Motivation

Certainly! Here's a refined version of your statement: --- I'm drawn to SheCodes because of the incredible support it offers to women in tech. The opportunity to learn coding and broaden my analytical skills aligns perfectly with my aspirations of pursuing a career in the tech world. Specifically, I'm passionate about becoming a data analyst or quantitative analyst, roles that demand proficiency in programming languages. Despite not having the chance to learn coding in school and facing financial constraints, SheCodes represents my best opportunity to chase this dream. I'm eager to seize this chance to enhance my skill set and unlock new career possibilities.

🤹‍♀️ Thato's Hobbies

If I am not creating on Canva, I love writing, and I also love doing crochet work. I really just love the creative side of me.

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
