Violet's Story I was always curious about how computers really work and how they seem to know everything. But I wasn't really exposed to tech being brought up upcountry and in a poor family...but with time and having gone through campus I have come to understand and really get interested to learn..i have actually been teaching myself the basics of Java and Javascript and also with a little help from my best friend who is a fullstack developer.. unfortunately he is too busy with work he can't really commit to teaching me.

🙋‍♀️ Violet's Motivation

I would really love to get into the coding career world.I have always loved technology but never really got a chance to venture into Tech...I got good grades in the sciences in high school but I wasn't well informed about careers and really didn't know what I want to do in campus so I did the first thing that came to my head Which was Commerce..

🤹‍♀️ Violet's Hobbies

I love brain teasers and brainy games...filling out puzzles..I can't pass up a newspaper that has a puzzle to fill out.

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
