Waheda's Story When I was 14, I can remember that one of my keen and talented classmate( her name was Zohra) at school knew how to code. While she was just 15, she was able to solve lots of her problems with that. I think, she was my role model, and she made me a fun of coding. I have never found the opportunity to learn, so this would be a huge and pleasing opportunity for me.

🙋‍♀️ Waheda's Motivation

In the current situation, I am so excited and pleased to apply for such programs that could enhance my skills, and help me with my future job. Moreover, since I was 14, I had a extraordinary patience for learning how to code, but I don't know how to do it.

🤹‍♀️ Waheda's Hobbies

In my leisure time, I would like to do sports with my brothers, and usually you can find me watching tutorial videos about how to play violin. I enjoy drawing and making crafts with papers and ribbons. Most importantly, I spend my time doing some charts and puzzles, such as Sudoko. Additionally, I know how to weave, so I rarely weave for fun.

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
