Wandisa Precious's Story I first became interested in coding when I saw a friend build a Language App. I then took it upon myself to self teach the basics of coding. Coding is my outlet for creativity. I also think I was interested in coding way before I knew it because I have always been curious and amazed by computers and how they work.

🙋‍♀️ Wandisa Precious's Motivation

My motivation for learning to code stems from my passion of Building Apps. SheCodes can help me promote my creativity , connunication and discipline while I do my favorite activity. SheCodes can give me the skills I need to be able to tap into the Tech space , find employment and create a better life for myself and be able to provide better for my family so my brothers can have the opportunities that I have never had.

🤹‍♀️ Wandisa Precious's Hobbies

I enjoy doing puzzles , reading and working out. I also volunteer at a shelter that houses abandoned babies from time to time. I also sometimes go on Visual Code to code and create a few projects.

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
