Zin's Story Since founding the Digizens Alliance, despite not being a technology professional, I have been determined to narrow the digital gap within the Myanmar community. However, to make further contributions, it's essential for us to enhance our expertise in this field. Without a deep understanding of coding and other aspects of the digital era, I feel restricted in implementing ideas, particularly within the digital realm.

🙋‍♀️ Zin's Motivation

Since I have been organizing the Digizens Alliance, my priority has been to bridge the digital divide for marginalized communities in Myanmar. I am willing to making a greater contribution to empowering the people of Myanmar in the digital realm, thereby promoting a more inclusive digital society in the 21st century. To achieve this goal, I recognize the importance of enhancing my knowledge in IT. By improving my understanding of technology, I aim to become more adaptable and effective in shaping a inclusive digital community for the future.

SheCodes Foundation Mission

Women currently hold 25% of coding jobs and earn 30% less money than men. In most developing countries, more than 65% of women don't have bank accounts and cannot afford to invest in their education. Female refugees also don’t have many opportunities to invest in their education and improve their career horizon - they often work in unskilled, undervalued, and low-paid informal sectors.

SheCodes is here to help provide women in developing countries and women who are refugees with the opportunity to learn how to code for free. SheCodes offers a solid introduction to product development, product design and product management.
